# Earnings

The **Dashboard** in the Channel owner workspace shows what you've earned. Filter it by period and by channel.

## KPI cards

| Metric                      | Meaning                                      |
| --------------------------- | -------------------------------------------- |
| **Lifetime earnings**       | Everything you've earned to date.            |
| **Earnings**                | Earnings in the selected period.             |
| **Ad posts**                | Number of sponsored posts published.         |
| **This month earnings**     | Earnings so far this month.                  |
| **Previous month earnings** | Earnings in the prior month, for comparison. |

## Per-channel table

If you have more than one channel, the table breaks earnings down by channel:

`Channel · Ad posts · Ad views · Earnings/Post · Earnings`

Use it to see which channels earn the most and where raising or lowering your CPM might help.

## How earnings are calculated

You earn based on the **views your sponsored posts deliver**, priced at the **CPM** you set for the channel. More delivered views and a higher CPM both increase earnings — but a CPM that's too high can reduce how many ads clear the auction. See [Controls](/docs/for-channel-owners/controls.md).
